Day 2 of my 7 days of Gratitude: No, I have not forgotten, and at this rate it will take me 7 weeks to write my posts lol. But, anyway this past week as I reflected on my life a million things came to mind. What rose to the top of the list...........while I sat outside by the lake 1. I am so grateful to be here. To be blessed to sit by the lake, listen to the birds, watch the fish jump in the water and just enjoy the peace and tranquility. Some thought I was crazy to leave the city and move up here to ..as Paul Mitchell puts it....Sasquatch country lol. That always makes me smile . Just come and sit here for an hour and you will understand why I am here. I am grateful to my husband Rick Monville, who built this house, and shared in my dream to be here. Grateful to have a place for others to come and soak in the tranquility, some of which do not come often enough by the way. 2. I am grateful for my dad. I know he would love it here!! What and where would I be without him. He is gone from earth but lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. He rescued me. Literally, he did. I was left for adoption in Detroit, at Ford Crittenton Hospital and he came and rescued me in September of 1953. He is the only father I have ever known and although he was not as people call it, my biological father, he was always dad to me. I am grateful that we were able to talk about it, and laugh about how he paid $500.00 dollars to get me. I still search now and again for some kind of piece of my puzzle. There is still always that one small hope that someday I will know my biological father, just because it is a missing piece. My mother said she would take that information to her grave.....and she did. 3. I am grateful for my education and the opportunities I have had as a result of that. I was fortunate to have people who encourage me to do it even when I was sure I couldnt. Thanks Cassi Gonzalez for helping me with the math! OMG I thought it was going to be the death of me LOL. And Jenni Leinberger- Hankishwho listened to me cry when I was so tired from work and school, and I was sure I could not move one foot ahead of the other. And Rick, he was a trooper through it all! And Paul Mitchell and Kristine Furtaw, who kept telling me to keep going!!! To Eva Sheufelt Monville and Joel Monville for helping me celebrate and being there to watch me graduate! I am sure I left someone out, so to all those who helped me stay tough, Thank You!!
