Did House Majority Leader John Boehner betray conservatives with the budget deal? Many conservatives and Tea Party members are outraged that the latest $1.1 Trillion budget extension was passed and heres why: 1) Bill not Read. Once again, at the 11th hour, a budget bill is put forth that cannot possibly be read prior to our representatives reading it. 2) 1700+ Pages. Once again, a bloated spending bill packs in billions in waste, pet projects, and who knows what. We will be finding out as the days pass by. 3) Beohner did NOT discuss this deal with conservatives in his own party. He did NOT discuss this with the newer members that were just elected. 4) Absolutely no spending cuts 5) Passage of $2.5 billion for Obamas illegal alien amnesty executive action. The same program that Boehner and other Republicans said was illegal. The same action that many Republicans vowed to vote against funding just before the elections. 6) Passage of full funding for Obamacare through the fiscal year! What happened to the fight? In the end, the passage of this spending bill, especially by Republican House Majority Leader, was a message to all those that voted in the last election, that this is BUSINESS AS USUAL! Thats not what the American people meant when they voted in the last historic election. Heres what would have been more moderate 1) Some spending cuts 2) No funding for Obamas illegal alien amnesty executive action 3) Some Obamacare cuts (repeal medical device tax and a few other common ground items) 4) Pass it as a short term continuing resolution (CR) for only 3 or 4 months to get us through the crunch and let the new Republican majority determine the budgeting early next year. What John Boehner did was remove all the leverage the new Senate and House majority had next year by passing this through the fiscal year (September 2015). It was another scam on the American people. Some claim that by not agreeing to Obama that the government might be shut down and the Republicans will be blamed again. Well, that happened last year and guess what? Americans went to the ballot box and handed Republicans a record victory! So, why loose all your courage now, AFTER VICTORY!
