Everywhere I seem to go, I seem to offend authority figures. My supervisor at work had a chat with me about a yr ago. Matt your a smart kid. You have a lot of talent and you can do anything you want in this industry. But ya know what? Your a rebel. In all my yrs of doing this Ive never seen a rebel make it to the top. You have to learn to play ball... It was that conversation the sparked a new realization for me. Rebels change the world. Rebels said the world wasnt flat when everyone else did. Rebels decided to succeed and fight for their independents where every man was a king on his land. John Lennon was a rebel. Martin Luther king was a rebel. Rosa parks was a rebel. People in positions of authority are intimidated by rebels because the status quo isnt acceptable for them, but its the status quo that works for their benefit. Im not MLK or John Lennon but Im a rebel. And Im proud to call myself one. Its in my blood. If being successful means I must give in and play ball, or go along to get along, then its time I find a new way to be successful. Its time to create a new world.
