Expectations for success is beyond stressful for college students to achieve. Being a college student is a complete 180 turn from high school. When not even a year ago we were sitting in desks with our teacher curving grades, giving out extra credit opportunities, and giving us redos on assignments. Here, there is very rare curving and limited extra credit, if there is any at all. Our teachers are not holding our hands through each assignment and showing up to class will not be a guaranteed or easy earned A. Going from flying through high school with straight As and now struggling to keep my grades at that A as expected just to get into the nursing program is definitely a culture shock not only for myself, but several other people, like myself. College is fun my friends but let me tell you it is not easy and be prepared for what it has to offer. Life does not indeed get easier, however, we learn to adapt in this crazy world as it keeps getting harder.
