For some of the people that know my Dad, he is generally known as G-Dub (short version of Gary Wayne Daniels). So, in the interest of racking my brain for title to these nightly updates, well just refer to these entries as The G-Dub Files... That being said, the following is the third entry of this journey: He had a rough nite of it Wednesday night. Very fidgety, and true to form, a bit obstinate. However, today, several more tests were run. The most significant being a Video Swallow Test. Hes been NPO for the last 4 days due to deficits related to choking, and swallowing issues. The test ruled out Esophageal issues, and the dietary department was able to ok a diet of puréed foods and thin liquids. So- He actually got to eat a bit today (we learned that he does NOT like Turkey Gravy). Also, he was able to move his r leg and r arm for a short period. Believe thats called small victories. We also were visited by his Doctor who was generous enough to actually show us the resulting photos of his most recent CT scan. Not good. Roughly 80% of the left side of his brain has suffered significant impact from the Stroke. But, he was very reassuring in the potential for at least partial recovery. He had several visitors, including his academic clone- my youngest child, Nathan. He recognized everyone, and was able to hold strained, but logical conversations with each visitor... Go Pops!!! So, here we remain. All of your prayers, messages, visits, and well-wishes are most definitely being heard and most appreciated!!!! Thank you all so much! Dont give up on us; I think the olcodgers got a lot of fight left in him... 🙏⚡️⚡️🙏
