Fort AP Hill is proud to wish our United States Marine Corps a very Happy 238th Birthday!!! For 238 years, the United States Marine Corps has proudly served our great nation with unfailing valor. From thier first battle at New Providence (Bahamas) in March 1776, to operations in Afghanistan today, the United States Marine Corps has displayed incredible courage and and committment in defense of our nation. These Warriors, our United States Marine Corps, have triumphed in every battle due to thier dedication and focus on discipline and combat excellence. This year the Marines celebrate the anniversary of severl epic battles in their celebrated history: 70th Anniversary of Tarawa, 45th Anniversary of the Battle of Hue City, and the 10th Anniversary of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Marines that fought in these past battles carried a legacy of selfless service that was forged by a generation of Marines that served before them, and set a standard of excellence for the generation of Marines that followed them. Semper Fidelis!
