Happy New Year.. To me, New Years day is a self-ish holiday. We mark it as a new beginning. A milestone in our lives. Many make resolutions about something they want to accomplish or change. Personally, I dont. I think it is bigger than that.Each of us is given only so many new years in our fleeting lives. None of us know just how many that will be. As they say, everything can change in a New York minute. Our lives are the sum of all the decisions ( right or wrong),encounters,and happenstance we have had along our brief journey. In most cases, we never take the time to reflect on all of the things that have brought us to this moment. Today is the day for that. Are we satisfied with the results of all of our moments so far? Are we squandering the short time we have been given? Do we really have happiness? Truly, it cant easily be found. If not, do we have the courage and conviction to seek it? Will we take the actions necessary to bring it to fruiton? Is the risk worth the reward? Do we believe? Are we living the life that we truly want? A lot points to ponder. To a reasonable extent, our futures are our own to shape. To me, it is worth investing the time to think things through. What better time to do that than today. It is a New Year. Carpe Diem.
