Here is a challenge from me to you. Read the poem and try to do. A penny, a nickel, a dollar a dime. A second, a minute, a hour in time. Tip at the table, waiting in line. A inch, a foot, a yard, a mile. Concern, anger, fear or a smile. Today or tomorrow or should I wait awhile. To crawl or walk or maybe to run. To work or rest or recreate for fun. To laugh, to cry or even to pout. To abide in much or to do without. Invite or expel, by phone or by mail. Wind currents caught up in the sail. A screw, a brad, a clamp or a weld. A shovel, a pick, a hammer and nail. Or maybe a bucket found in the well. The glaring sun, a cool autumn breeze, Spring showers or a winters deep freeze. The silent wind ruffling the leaves. A child by her bed on bent knees. To demand or ask with a gentle please. Clouds in the day or stars at night. A full Moon shinning ever so bright. Ducks on a pond or geese in flight. To disagree, to argue, perhaps fight. These are a few put on the list. Do you know of others that I have missed? Would you take time to add to this?
