I apologize for using Facebook as a means of informing a lot of people this sad news. I realize its inappropriate and tacky and for that I am sorry. But Im doing it anyway because I cant call or email each and every person who has contacted me on here. My father (Oscar King) has been a resident of the Highland Nursing home for five years now. Hes taken a turn for the worse and his time has come. Hes not in any pain and hes not suffering. The employees at the nursing home have gone above and beyond for him and for my family. Ive been staying here these past few nights so Ill be here when he checks out. Its a sad time but its one we all must face. Were doing ok and truly appreciate all the calls, emails, messages and visits. Its humbling to know how many people sincerely care. Thank you to everyone who has shown us such kindness during this time. Ill post another update when Oscar decides to head to his final cattle sale.
