I don’t understand why some people get so pissed at Non Islanders that tryna speak our languages & learn our culture . My cousins were talking about that the other day when they saw some non islanders tryna talk like a fob & learning our culture . I was thinking…How do you know that they ain’t Pacific Islanders ? You don’t know their life story ! You don’t know their family tree lol Shouldn’t we be happy that they are embracing our culture and want to represent it as well Why all the hate Whenever I meet someone that speaks my language & he/she aint Tahitian, Im happy & Proud to meet someone that know my language , I commend them on their awesome taste in art It’s their life not yours. Why would you give a flying fck . I’m just giving my opinion, I know its more of the cultural aspect that people try to keep sacred and all, but personally as a Pacific Islander myself, I don’t see anything wrong with them Learning our culture . -Helava
