I get asked a lot of questions about how to achieve a certain level of fitness. The bottom line....YOU have to want it. The drive has to come from within you. How badly do you want it? Whats YOUR motivation? Being able to go up the stairs without being winded? Want to eliminate that Type II diabetes you were just diagnosed with? Wanting to control that high blood pressure or cholesterol? Wanting to be able to pull yourself up out of a well should you fall down into one? Want to do a bodybuilding competition? Want to look a certain way? Want to play with your kids and chase them around?Again, the bottom line is, it has to come from within YOU. You have to want it badly enough to eat right and work out whether you have a workout buddy or not. YOU have to get over the mentality of EAT LESS/RUN YOUR ASS OFF to get healthy and lean. YOU have to get over the hype that carbs are bad, fat is bad, I must eat all protein all the time. It requires patience, perseverance, determination. There is no quick fix, no magic pill, no super supplement that is going to give you what youre after. If your family is not going to eat clean with you, then you make different meals for you. If your family, co-workers and friends tempt you with crap or ridicule you because youre not eating crap with them, or because youre going to the gym AGAIN, you have to find it within yourself to stick to your guns and do whats right for you and your body. Its YOUR goal, YOUR body, YOUR life. You have to want to do this for YOU, not someone else. And really, thats just the bottom line.
