I wanted to share this interview with a really good and supportive friend of mine, yours and the Democratic Party, the Honorable Melissa Noriega, former State representative and Houston City Councilwoman and now the Democratic nominee for Harris COunty Department of Education Trustee. Aside from the fact you probably will not find anyone more qualified at any time to serve on this board, heres an incentive - The Republicans want to abolish the Board and Melissas opponent is none other than Don Sumners, the draconian former County Treasurer and Tax Assessor Collector who somehow gets elected and then his own party repudiates him in a primary. That is truly bad. Heres a message from our friend Melissa Noriega. As some of you know, I am on the November ballot for the Harris County Department of Education. The race is waaaa-ay down at the bottom of the ballot. The best thing is to vote a straight ticket D vote, but if you pick and choose, you must hang in there to the end! I would ask for your vote and appreciate your support...thank you all for your gracious support for both Rick and me over the years.
