Im thankful for many things today. As a large man growing up in the city and an artist aware of the power of perception and authority, I cant help but be thankful for the color of my skin. I truly believe that it helped save me from going away to prison when I broke the law back in 97 by counterfeiting US currency and passing it while at my part-time job at Kinkos. That difference, along with the help of people in my community, may have changed the trajectory of my life and productive career. I believe its human to break the law and that if we as a nation can agree the let instant replay into baseball, its not too much to ask for those with the power too judge, jury and execute on the spot to wear cameras to protect everyones interest while on duty in the service of their people. There is power in forgiveness and accountability. I made a mistake and owned up to it. Society has forgiven me and I am thankful. Respect is a two-way street and all lives matter.
