Iseum of Isis Paedusis Samhain/Dia de los Muertos Ritual: Before - TopicsExpress

Iseum of Isis Paedusis Samhain/Dia de los Muertos Ritual: Before anyone enters, DENISE will anoint them with Samhain oil and say, Do you come in peace and love? answer Yes and you will be admitted. Building of altar commences. Does anyone have boxes and extra black or seasonal cloth to drape? I will have my personal altar up already and we will be adding to it, hopefully in tiers as we always do but my place is really small, so take that in mind. When altar is complete, we will ward: Warding: CONNIE was going to do this but now she cant, so can SCOTT OR NYX do this? DENISE and anyone who wishes to will then place marigolds on steps up to the apartment to invite spirits in; door will be ajar. Now, each person in attendance may tell us about the person or persons who inspired them who is on the other side and we will welcome them in! Play music, read a poem or your own composition or one of theirs, or take some other action to regale us with the wonderfulness of your inspiring person! After each person has spoken, we will say Welcome! After all have spoken, we will have a few moments of silence to honor the spirits and wait for them to arrive. PATRICIA, please sing us a song. Spirits will be served Pan de Muertos and Mexican hot chocolate first before the rest of us eat or drink. Once the spirits have arrived, we may play more music (expect me to do so). Then there will be two or more DIVINATION STATIONS. Ill put up my crystal ball and dark scrying mirror in my bedroom for scrying. Tarot cards of various types will be available--bring yours if you wish. Please everyone try to experience some form of divination during the evening. Any messages or petitions can be put on the altar if wished and DENISE will burn them later. PARTY goes as long as people want to--at some point AFTER the divination we will thank the spirits and call the ritual at an end, but the PARTY can continue. Anyone who drinks too much is invited to stay over. WHAT WE NEED: Nyx is bringing flowers and almost milk for hot chocolate; Denise has Mexican hot chocolate, pan de muertos, incense, anointing oil, and other ritual items; Francisco is bringing booze. WE NEED food, items to decorate the altar, any other decorations youd like to bring, and any divination tools you want to bring along. But mostly we need food! See you on the 2nd at 4 PM or so. RSVP required before Oct. 31. Address and phone: 2219 Mathews Ave., Apt. E, Redondo Beach, CA 90278, (310) 371-0274.
