Its one of those news stories that creates such division - and I - TopicsExpress

Its one of those news stories that creates such division - and I am always reluctant to discuss it because of that - and yet I cannot ignore the story because I believe it is important in many key respects. Not least because... ....there is the suggestion of a much bigger, darker picture of what this story is leading to... ...and there is also the sheer volume of unprecedented public resources and public money that has been ploughed into solving the case of Madeleine McCann. The simple facts of the event have always screamed volumes and Richard D. Hall has done a brilliant investigative job in pulling them all together. In terms of Maddies disappearance, my position has always been that the official story doesnt add up. Of course I dont know what happened exactly, only a small group know that, but I do know that no amount of legal or PR muscle (millions of pounds spent on these from a public fund) or Government intervention is going to stop the discrepancies from existing. This documentary does a good job in investigating and highlighting what the mainstream media is reluctant to. Richard Hall is right when he asserts that there are blocks to publicly telling the facts of this story. Anything that diverts from the abduction version is a no-no. I talk from the experience of having had several McCann articles spiked...of having TV and radio producers tell me you cant say that and thats the one case you dont look at during conversations about Maddie and I have been warned about my tweets by McCann representatives Carter Ruck AND Bell Pottinger. And I still say the official story of abduction is a lie. As do millions of others - although you wouldnt necessarily know that from the media coverage. Poor Maddie.
