Ive been reflecting on the message from Wades service. Pastor Ohman spoke on Psalm 137. The children of Israel were taken captive and they chose to take their harps. They had suffered great difficulty, but they knew they would play and sing again someday. This last week has been difficult, but I have found such comfort in songs from Wades service as well as others that The Lord has given me over the years. God wants to hear his children sing, even during difficult times. These verses and the song following have an all new meaning to me in this last week. Psalm 137 1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. 2 We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. 3 For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. 4 How shall we sing the Lords song in a strange land? Joshua & Jennifer this new land is strange and we cant even begin to imagine all that you feel and how your hearts hurt. Life without Tater will never be the same.
