Making BIG decisions is not my cup of tea. Im indecisive most of the time. I go back and forth, weighing the pros and cons over and over. But I usually end up choosing based on how I feel and not always whats best for me. This week, I made a decision based on whats best for me, my health, and my well being. I accepted a new job at DH Concord Primary Care clinic. I put an end to the hour long commute and wacky night shift schedule - its what my body needs right now. I will miss the ICN - staff and patients - very much. But in the end, I need to take care of myself first. This was a VERY tough decision for me to make. I had thought long and hard about it for several weeks (and yes, I even cried at one point because it is so near and dear to my heart). The ICN has been my second home for over three years now. It has helped me to grow as a nurse and as a person. I have built many lasting friendships and have worked with some amazing people. Thank you all (you know who you are) for making the ICN a wonderful place to work :) I am staying per diem so you will see me around here and there!
