Me: Oh my Father, I feel so lost today. I know You are there but for some reason the darkness around me seems to be creeping in and is about to flood over me. Please my Lord, help me. I need You, and I know it’s not just for today but for every day. Father I know You are with me right now in the midst of this battle but I need a touch from Your hand. I need You, Lord Jesus to be the one I lean on now as I struggle with my own weaknesses and my sinful nature. God: My son, I know you are feeling low today and I know that there are times in your life that you just don’t think you can go on but as I ask you to have faith in me, I want you to know that I have faith in you. My precious child, I’m not trying to tell you it’ll be easy because you and I both know it’s not. But know this, I will never abandon you or leave you without My love. As I was in the fiery furnace with my children, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, so I will be with you today as you walk through this trial. Me: I know that You love me Lord and You know that I love You but please tell me why it has to be this way? Why does life seem to hurt so much sometimes and why is it that when we are in the middle of that pain we have such a hard time remembering how You have taken care of us before? What have I done Lord to bring this down upon myself? God: Child, you have done nothing to bring this down on yourself except to be weak sometimes and to be selectively forgetful at times when it comes to the things that I have taught you. This pain that you are going through is no different from the pain my children have been going through since my poor children, Adam and Eve fell victim to the lies of the serpent. I know it hurts and I know that it seems as if it will never pass but remember that I sent my Beloved Son, Jesus, the Great Physician, to take away that pain and to give you a hope that the world you live in cannot understand apart from Me. Me: My Lord and my King, thank You so much for saving me by Your Grace. Thank you so much for my Savior, Jesus Christ and for the sacrifice that He willingly made for me. Thank you Father for leaving me Your Holy Spirit so that when I wallow in my fear and doubt, You seek me out, to comfort me and to remind me of exactly who You are. Father, I confess to you that I am still afraid. Please, forgive me for my doubt Lord. God: Listen to me now my child. You are forgiven. I love you and nothing can take that away from us. My Son Jesus is fully a man so We understand what you go through from day to day. Let me remind you that to Me, you are priceless and there is nothing I wouldn’t do to make things easier for you. But, as you have taught your children that there are consequences when they make mistakes so it will be for you my precious one. As much as you love your child, it doesn’t even compare to how much I love you. Loving you is easy for Me. I created you. I made you exactly the way I wanted you. I have always known that you would one day be in this storm. This hasn’t caught Me by surprise like it has you. Me: Well Father, I really appreciate You taking this time with me to help me to see things more clearly. I can feel Your love for me overflowing over me. I have a peace in me that I didn’t have just a bit ago and I know that can only come from you. I will praise You and honor You as Lord of Lords and King of Kings. God: You’re very welcome my child. I really appreciate this time with you but let me remind you of one more thing. You don’t have to wait until you are feeling beat down and hopeless to talk to Me. I absolutely love talking to you and just spending time with you. Let’s see if we can’t make this happen more often, ok? I love you!
