Okay, this is so so cool. But can someone explain this to me: The discovery seems to overturn the theory that Earth got its water, and so its ability to harbour life, from water-bearing comets that slammed into the planet during its early history. Is there something about the composition of this water on this comet that implies that all water on all comets ever was different than that of Earth? Is the excess of deuterium a result of the physical properties of comets? Is there someone who has access to Science journal and can read this article and convey it to me? sciencemag.org/content/early/2014/12/09/science.1261952 I need to know :(
