One of the primary reasons we started Impact was to provide a community for people who did not feel comfortable within the spaces that they were relegated to. Some of those who had complained to us were new or newly practicing Muslims who felt ostracized within their mosques. Check out the article below on Five Things Every Mosque Should Do For Converts. It highlights some issues that are relevant to many people in the Muslim community and a conversation that we can have this Saturday after the film screening. Like the article states, the first step to solving a problem is acknowledging there is one. Lets talk about the problems and how we can make positive changes to overcome them.
