PART 4-THE YOUNG MAN WITH INTERESTING IDEAS The cover of the book was too old; it seemed like a book from centuries ago, what good could come out of it? Though my instincts insisted I buy the book, I went home without it that day. That evening a mind bugling question stoke me, I was desperate for an answer. I slept “worried-sick” without haven gotten the answer to the question. In my dream I met a man who knew the answer to my $ billion question at the nip of his fingers, he lucidly; gave me simple, plain and direct answers to my question, I was dumfounded by his prowess, when I asked him how come he know the answer to that question, he told me, he read it from a book, it was the same book I didn’t buy the afternoon preceding that night. The next morning I rushed to the book shop and bought the book, the price didn’t border me anymore, I stated reading it on the way home, I couldn’t wait, I was exhilarated to find the answer the guy in the dream gave me, it was in the book, word for word. That was the beginning of what will become a very frequent and helpful experience in my life. I have had many of such experiences, I have met real people, some I know who are alive today, others dead, and others I don’t know whether dead or alive, they have helped me with their wisdom. I can never overestimate the help of these saints to me. This experience is fundamentally very different from the one I had with David, I have summarised two categories of experiences I’ve had in this sphere of discussion, 1. My meeting with David; this category of experience happens while I am awake, my physical senses are still very active, what usually happens is that I get so full of the spirit sometimes that I become “aware” of another reality while still “awake”. For example, one evening, I was exceptionally full of the Spirit, in an instant my spiritual eyes opened, like Stephen, I saw heaven as though I was looking at it with my physical eyes, I saw the splendour of it, and the glory of God, I don’t have words to describe. In similar experiences, I have not only met with saints like David, Samson, Elijah, etc. I have met the Lord Jesus Christ severally and held long discussions with Him; I have become aware-experienced real-life events that happened in Bible days as though it was happening that very moment and I was a part of it, I have been to places and seen events of the past or future. I remember going to a place twice, one was in such an experience and the second time was bodily, and there was no difference in the features of the place in both experiences. These experiences have greatly enriched my experience of the word. The second category is what I codenamed “meeting the young man with interesting ideas on eternal life”, though I actually met this young man in a dream, we had a very enlightening argument on this topic, he had very strong arguments to support his perspective, I had mind too, he was a worthy “opponent” scholarly wise, I felt “intellectual alive” after this experience, the guy was too smart almost like me. That is why I love that experience and use it as a code name in this articles to categorize this kind of experiences. This group of experiences usually happens in my sleep, I don’t meet bible saints in such experiences, though I meet the Lord often too this way. I have already given examples of the two experiences, one in the very second article in this series on meeting David the King-Prophet and the other at the beginning of this paragraph. Let me conclude this series by answering a few questions which if I were you I would have asked. How did David look like? Now the answer to that is a little complicated to explain, but I will try my best to. Except in very few instances, mostly when I meet these saints, I see and know them including their form and features through the eyes of my understanding, i.e. I know this is David standing here, I can describe some of his features, rather than see him in the way we see things in the physical world, I “know” him. E.g. When I met Samson; though I expected him to be regal and muscular, he was none of these, he was tall and slim, “lanky in a way”…you wouldn’t believe it was Samson by sight only. Why didn’t he look glorified (heavenly)? I meet all these people as they were in a particular bible time; this is kind of hard to explain, If you can possibly understand how through my fellowship with the written word of God, the word becomes “living”, a portal seems to open through which I am transported there, and I have a real life experience of the word, this is how I experienced the parting of the Red Sea by Moses, and countless dozens of other bible and historical events. That is why I call these experiences “My experiences of the Word of Life”. I have Visions, dreams, encounters with the Lord Spirit also Christ, the Father, and I also have experiences of the Word of life. I treated “THE COMMUNION OF THE SAINTS” without saying anything about who the saints are, though there are plenty of arguments and confusions around that, I assumed you already know the accurate answer to that question, so this articles does not answer that question. I didn’t bring this article to teach a complete doctrine, but to share and call you to the experience of the Word of Life. Someone initiated me to it and now I am initiating you also.
