POWER OF THE BIBLE: From Beginning to End [Beginning] Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. through Revelation 22:21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. [End] The words of the sacred text, the Bible, are some of the most inspired, influential, and potent words known to mankind. History has proven that the words inspired and inscribed in it are some of the greatest treasures known to man. It is so powerful that wars have been started because of it, people are murdered who live by it and honor it, and nations such as ours, The United States, were built around it because of the possibility of religious freedom. However, when used inappropriately, the bible can be one of the most dangerous books known to man. It is so potent and powerful that the words and inspirations in it have the power to build or destroy. Churches, Christian schools, and Christian communities were created from it. Nevertheless, wars such as The Crusades, and Childrens Crusades of 1212, and the Thirty Years War all claimed the lives of millions over misinterpretation of the words in The Bible. Worse were the misunderstandings on the life and treatment of others such as the Salem Witch Trials, the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, and even the inhumane treatment of Native Americans and especially Negroes in The United States which were justified based on bible misinterpretation. My question is if this work which is regarded as Gods inspired word is so important and potent, then why does each generation continue to move away from its principles? Why does man choose to live more at odds with one another or in disharmony and upheaval? Better yet, what if man actually chose to live by the principles and lessons of The Bible? What if man chose to look at The Bible collectively rather than individual pieces of separated stories and lessons? Sadly, which is quite ironic and the exact opposite of The Bibles intention, practicing this word will cause you to be labeled an outcast and abnormal. People who claim to love God and believe in Him will laugh at you. Furthermore, there are those who will claim The Messiah--The Christ--as savior, will attend a church service once a week and bible study, will pay tithes and offerings, and even read their sacred text at various times, but will lie to you or on you, try to steal from you, kill you, turn their backs to you, slander you name, and persecute you. These are people who will say they understand what Gods love is all the while teaching and practicing hate, denouncing God at various times of life to pursue selfish motives, and even denying God or living against Christian principles to please friends and family. And if you really want to start a fight with some who claim The Christ as savior, you can simply show him/her the sacred text and where he/she is living outside of Gods plan. They will either accept it, reject it, or act out of anger. The excuses I have heard for years from CHRISTIANS are as follows: 1. Dont judge me. 2. Im a work in progress. 3. Dont worry about my salvation. Just worry about you. 4. God will just have to deal with me later. 5. Only God can judge me. 6. God knows my heart. 7. You must be talking about yourself. 8. You need to apply that to your own life before worrying about mine. Nonetheless, what about the good of the Bible? It has the power to unify people across the globe. It has the power to bring peace to the confused, dispirited, broken-hearted, and lost. The Bible has the power to break generational curses. It has the power to build up the weak. It has the power to change a violent misguided person into a focused gentle leader. It has the power to restore and rebuild relationships. The Bible has the power to also heal the sick, mentally, physically, and spiritually. It has the power to connect people in America to people in a countries where Christians are persecuted such as China, Cambodia, India and Indonesia. More importantly, it has the power to connect you closer to God and to answer many unexplained questions about life, love, happiness, and the universe. All of what is presented shows the power this book has over people. So what is your excuse for living against Gods teachings? (God is waiting to hear this, and note if you never utter a word to answer, your answer is already written on your heart). Selah!
