Police are appealing for information to locate a driver after a woman was a hit by a van in Marrickville this morning (Friday 6 June 2014). About 1am, a man and woman were crossing Victoria Road at Marrickville, near the intersection of Sydenham Road, when the woman was hit by an oncoming vehicle. Her companion was not injured. . While the driver did stop, the van left the scene before police arrived. The woman was assessed on site by Ambulance Paramedics for a suspected fractured toe. She is undergoing further treatment at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
