REMEMBERING THE JEWISH COMMUNITIES OF THE MIDDLE EAST Please join us for a special screening of the acclaimed film, The Dove Flyer, based on the book by Eli Amir at National Museum of American Jewish History on 12/15 at 7 p.m. The film interweaves the last years of the Jewish community in Baghdad with a touching coming-of-age story of Kabi, whose family is caught in the maelstrom that will soon devastate all of the Jewish communities of Arab lands. The screening will be preceded by a brief reception and followed by a Q & A with Rabbi Albert Gabbai, spiritual leader of Sephardi synagogue Congregation Mikveh Israel and himself a refugees from the once proud Jewish community of Cairo and Consul General to the Mid-Atlantic Region, Yaron Sideman.
