This reminds me of my trip in 1977. We ( Linda Eng and I) took a ferry across the Bay of Fundy in September of 1977 during the end of a NorthEaster, in fact the previous ferry had turned around because it was so bad. We were on a bike trip in Nova Scotia, and the wind was so bad it blew us off our bikes. When we got to the ferry (we finally got a ride in a pick up truck), 3 car decks and 2 passenger decks, they almost canceled the ferry. The waves were coming across the top of the ferry, 5 decks high. When the first wave hit, everyone started laughing, when the second wave hit, everyone started vomiting. It was so horrible! We made the crossing, but I was seasick for three days, and stayed in my tent recovering. The tent spun for three days, I finally got back on my bicycle and we headed south to New York City. to finish our 6,000 mile bike ride.
