To get folks fired up for the planned protests, and to prepare the minds of liberals everywhere to nod sagely and accept it all, the liberal press re-ran the story of the oakland transit shooting again this morning. The idea is to reinforce the thesis that it is open season on black youth. The facts of this case are that a black man got into a drunken brawl on the BART, assaulted responding offiers, and was mistakely shot and killed when an officer grabbed his gun instead of his taser. This kind of mistake can be explained in the heat of battle, but it cannot be excused. The officer was correctly convicted of involuntary manslaughter. This caused riots, of course, and is chalked up by activisits as yet more evidence of the American war on black youth. I am going to call BS on this until the day I die, or am silenced....my opinions might be called hate speech in Britain or Canada...they might soon be called such here as well. 93% of blacks murdered in the last 50 years were murdered by blacks. Trayvon is one boy, and he means everything to those who loved him. But turning his tragic end to the political ends of this race war thesis is outrageous and offensive to both God and man.
