Upcoming classes at Superior Beads We’re going to try something different for the classes this summer and if it works out we will continue it through the year. Instead of doing a schedule with several months of classes I’m going to do a few every month and send out the notice more often so it gives people a chance to sign up knowing what their work and family schedule is during that time. We are also putting together kits for the classes now. This makes it easier to get supplies for a class. I know that you will only get one or two options on colors, and it may not be your favorite color, but we are teaching a technique and we think it makes it simpler for everyone for classes. The cost of the kits will also be less than if you purchased materials for the class at the store. We are looking for the easiest and and most reasonably priced way to offer these classes. And yes, please let us know what you think of these changes. I will do custom classes as well if there are three or more people interested in a class and it is not on the schedule at the time. Payment of class is required at the time you register to hold your spot in the class. I hope this works out better for everyone, feel free to give us your opinion as well. Huichol Beading Wed. June 26th 6:009:00 PM $ 30.00 class fee, $10.00 kit Beginner class This is a traditional Mexican Bead technique you will be learning in this class. It is used with a combination of Vaseline and wax melted together to use as a base for your beadwork. Anna Shallman from Ely will be teaching this class, she is an expert in this art and has done some beautiful pieces. Xs and Os bracelet Tue. July 9th 6:009:00 PM $20.00 class fee, $25.00 kit Beginner class This is a two needle right angle weave technique using 10 mm Swarovski pearls down the center and embellished with smaller pearls and crystals on the sides. Fun easy beautiful bracelet. Instructor: Janet Skadsberg Wrapped bracelet Wed. July 24th 6:009:00 PM $ 20.00 class fee, $10.00 kit includes kit Beginner class This is a wrap bracelet using leather down the center and then using a macramé  stitch and beads down the sides using waxed linen.
