We greet all Zimbabweans on this auspicios day on remembrance of our fallen heroes and those freedom fighters who today are fortunate to be alive .As we remember the freedom fighters of yesterday and their contribution to the liberation of Zimbabwe we categorically state that their efforts remain pivotal in our desire to live in peace and aspire for a truly democratic state encompassing the freedom to choose,speak and express ourselves in all spheres of life.On this day we remember the unsung heroes of war, the unknown soldier and povho which supported the struggle for independence.We above all else thank the principles of socialism and communism which provided the bedrock of collective unity and purpose.We are gratefull of the black peasants who nursed and provided sustenance for the liberation struggle.We recognise povho as the constant factor during the period of the war.We are aware that.many suffered physically and lost their limbs during the war and no amount of money can compensate for their loss.We ask for the liberator of yesteryear to join us,in our quest to restore the values of the liberation war and return our country to collective unity and purpose without the prevailing huge gap of the have and the have nots.We are aware that most of our liberators live in squalid conditions and were not capacitated enough to be productive citizens of their own beloved country.We stand by the common people on this day who are yearning for selflessness,volunteerism,servitude and emancipation which were the battle cry of the war of independence.We ask those who are living today of our heroes to reflect deeply and return to the core values of gutsaruzhinji and servant leadership.The war was about volunteerism without thought of reward.Some in their unmarked graves did not get any reward except the satsfaction in their spirit that Zimbabwe is free and indeed we are free.On that note we remind Zimbabweans that it will be naive to let the spirit of those yonder cry in despair as we become rotten and steeeped in corruption,looting,grabbing and destruction of the very country we fought for.In that respect we stand firm that the law should be nonpartisan and corruption , mismanagement should be brought to a halt .The biggest security concern stalking our country.is,corruption, hunger and poverty,delapidating infrastructure and inept political leadership that has passed its sell by date.We take courage from the resolve which pushed every son and daughter of Zimbabwe to take up arms and fight injustice and promise the people of Zimbabwe that we will not divert from the principles of the liberation struggle and leadership code of conduct which borders on servitude and volunteerism.We promise to get Zimbabwe growing again by boosting production and activity in the economic spheres and strengthen our social foundation on the ethos of gutsaruzhingi and selflessness.It is,not too late to develop ,capacitate and implement a Zimbabwean restoration charter that is encompassing and people driven.We stand together with Zimbabweans from all works of life as we are on the precipice of economic,social and political desaster where none but ourselves as Zimbabweans has to traverse back to the very foundation of the liberation struggle.In that light we remain touched by those fathers and mothers who lived in reservation keeps ,caged in their own country .We pay homage to the collaborators and the international community which stood by our freedom fighters.Lest we forget that our freedom came with a price for our neighbours in SADC namely Mozambique,Zambia,Tanzania .We rejoice in our tears and pull our sleeves to restore the values and ethos of the principles that led us in our struggle and navigation to be a free and independent Zimbabwe.We are resolved more so now to sound the bell and call out out to all yesteryear freedom fighters and todays previledged Zimbabwean to once again harken to the cry,,, DARE KWESE KWESE !!!!!!!!TINOGADZIRISAA. IDALE YONKE INDAWO !!!!! SIYALUNGISAAAAA.
