We spent a lovely afternoon with my family Celebrating Christmas. We filled our bellies, snuggled babies and shared some laughs. After leaving my brothers house tonight my dad spent his final hours on earth playing the piano and singing at his church. Music was one of my dads greatest joys! After church dad packed up his equipment started his car and had a massive heart attack. I am in a state of shock. It all feels so random. I just hugged him goodbye a few hours ago. It feels so random to my family. This isnt what we had planed today. But this wasnt random to God. God saw the day he was born and new the day he would die. The same is true for you and I. What we do with the time In between is a chance to fulfill opportunities brought before us. Be kind. Smile. Acknowledge others. Speak whats in your heart. Because while looking for reason in what feels random, finding purpose in our lives through grand deeds, what we may be missing is the day-to-day opportunities set before us. This is a reminder to share His love between the days of our birth and death. All of it matters. None of it is random.
