Weather Forecast for Kent – WEDNESDAY 22nd October ’14. SYNOPSIS: A ridge of high pressure move in from the south west to settle things down for a bit. TODAY . . . After the excitement of yesterday, I think we deserve a little break and that is what we are going to have today in the form of mostly dry and bright conditions as well as lighter winds. However, it’s really this morning that we can expect the best of the sunshine before cloud amounts tend to increase as we wear onto the afternoon. All in all, it will be a decent line washing day as well as being a better day for most intents and purposes, even though it’ll be feeling quite cool and fresh - much more seasonal in nature. After a chilly start in the morning, temperatures will max out at 13 C (55 F, which is what we should expect for this time of the year anyway) under a moderate north westerly breeze. TONIGHT . . . Although there’ll be a fair amount of cloud about, a few clear breaks may form here and there and it will stay mostly dry. Temperatures hovering between 9 C to 12 C (49 F to 54 F) under a moderate westerly breeze, a fairly cool and fresh night. OUTLOOK . . . Tomorrow (Thursday) will be rather damp and overcast with patchy light rain or drizzle as our wind turn back in from the south west, a maritime-type flavour to our weather. Much the same thing on Friday, but hopefully things will try and cheer up again with the sun breaking through as we go into the weekend. Temperatures will be close or slightly above average values (mild).
