Why Should We Avoid Caffeine/Artificial Sweeteners While Taking - TopicsExpress

Why Should We Avoid Caffeine/Artificial Sweeteners While Taking Slim (or really anytime)? *Caffeine and artificial sweeteners lower the body’s ability to regulate appetite (leptin resistance). *Caffeine and artificial sweeteners are directly linked to obesity, cancer, depression, increased rate of kidney decline, metabolic syndrome, belly-fat, increased risk of heart attack and cardiovascular disease, and type 2 diabetes. *Caffeine and artificial sweetener cause dehydration. *The use of caffeine and artificial sweetener coincide with a decrease in the intake of nutritious foods and beverages. *In a few short-term feeding trials where people eat until fullness, drinking diet soda with a meal leads to increased food intake compared to water. In some cases, the diet soda groups even eat more total calories than the groups who drink sugary soda. This can be explained like this… the consumption of diet soda confused the reward loops normally processed by the brain: because sweetness was no longer a reliable indicator of incoming calories, the brain had trained itself to respond less in the face of sweet flavors. Unreliable sweet tastes threw off normal predictions about calories and energy in the changed brains of diet soda drinkers—making it more likely that these people would consume additional calories later in the day. In summary, the brain is not receiving calories when it detects sweetness… so it craves more to fill it up. Thus causing you to continue eating (or to stay hungry). *Another report explains that diet soda and artificial sweeteners trick the body into thinking that it is consuming real food and sugar even though it isnt, which could lead to metabolic confusion and overconsumption (of food and beverages). *In a nutshell, caffeine and artificial sweeteners fight with the ingredients in Slim and do many things in direct opposition to what you are taking the Slim for! Why are we taking Slim… weight control, boost metabolism, increased energy, general health benefits, power over cravings? Now reread all of the reasons we should avoid them and keep in mind, even ONE beverage a day is enough to significantly increase the risk for health problems.
