Wow....I cant believe its been 21 years since I had you. I know for many its seems like a no brainer that this day would come and it would automatically be a proud moment....but only some know that this hasnt been as easy for you as it shouldve been. Throughout all these years youve looked adversity in the eyes and made it very clear you must have the wrong Todd, keep it moving, Ive got goals to accomplish, people to meet, obstacles to overcome and I will still come out on top. You are mature well beyond your years, having had responsibilities no child should have to assume and I know that was never by choice but youve embraced and owned it and for that I am forever grateful. You are that brother, friend, nephew, family member that everyone wants and should only be so lucky to know or have encountered. All of your life youve been that leader on the field and you have transferred those skills into your personal life in every way. As I sift through my thoughts and replay many conversations Ive overheard a few stick out Todd has something you cant teach...HEART Todd has built his character when no one was watching those statements are priceless. You deserve everything and more that this life has to offer and I will continue to be right there as your life continues to unfold. So my son now your legal. Does my influence and my words of advice become pointless, or does maturity cause you to listen more closely? Which parenting rules still apply, and which ones are no longer relevant? Whatever the answers may be, Todd I say this...dont rush through this thing called life, your impatient like your mother and you want tomorrow to happen yesterday. Be a young man with the world as an open book for you to read at your leisure. Or, in your case, think of it as a football season just the beginning. There are so many things to figure out, and it wont happen all at once. Enjoy every moment and take it all in, I know I am. I am so proud of the man youve become, the rock that youve been and that you were always MY SON. Keep reaching for the stars baby so you can touch the moon! Happy 21st Birthday!!! Luv ya!
