#21, You gotta check this young lady out, WOW! Lourdes Mack was born on April 2, 2002. Lourdes was born with spin bifida. She has under gone many surgeries including several on her brain. Lourdes started doing volunteer work before she was even 2 years old, and was the poster child for the orthopedic hospital celebrating the 75th anniversary of the hospital. Lourdes has also been taking adaptive ski lessons with USARC in Big Bear California and training in swimming since 18 months. She also been kayaking and hand cycling with the UCLA Adaptive Recreation since the age of 7, and playing wheelchair basketball and tennis since she was 8. Lourdes had been attending camp at the Painted Turtle since 2007 where she had got to sing on stage for a Carole King, live celebration to benefit the Painted Turtle, she was joined on stage by Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, and Herp Alpert to name a few! As you can see, this young lady has overcome her adversities despite the nay sayers and bullies. Lourdes Mack had over come selective mutism to join theatre and musical theatre at YADA (Youth Academy for Dramatic arts) and excelled to the extreme by taking on rolls in Annie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Grease, Hairspray, and the Little Mermaid. In 2012 Lourdes did her TV debut with a speaking part on "Privaate Practice" on national TV. Despite frequent hospitalizations Lourdes maintains very good grades and continues with charity, sports, theatre, music, and anything else she can do. Lourdes is currently the reigning "Little Miss Wheelchair" for CA in 2013 and never stops striving for success!
