”A person won’t be discouraged by those who differ from him and those who stand against him, since they less in importance and meaning, even if they would be more in number. Just like some of the salaf said: ”Force your way through the paths of truth and don’t let yourself be discouraged by the small amount of people who do the same.” Everytime you get discouraged because you’re alone on this path, look then to those who came before you and strive to catch up on them and turn away from all the others, since they can’t give you the most benefit by Allaah. If you would see them somewhere on the path you are walking on, don’t turn around to look at them, because when you do so, they will distract you and simply slow down your progress.
