Aerosim Flight Academy About the Academy Flight Training at Aerosim Flight Academy A History with the Airlines Aerosim Flight Academy’s campus is located at the Orlando/Sanford International Airport in Sanford, Florida. Established in 1989 by Comair Airlines, the Academy has been training professional airline pilots for the past two decades. As the only flight school originally owned and operated by an airline, our flight school’s reputation quickly grew with the expansion of Comair. In 2000, Delta Air Lines purchased Comair Airlines and its subsidiaries. This new era marked boundless growth and excitement for the Academy. To align with our expanding role in providing first officers to the Delta Connection carriers, the Academy was renamed Delta Connection Academy (DCA). Over the next several years, DCA continued to grow and expand its endeavors by partnering with Jacksonville University, Broward College and San Jacinto College to provide flight training for their aviation degree programs. In November 2008, Delta Connection Academy added a branch campus at Ellington Field Airport in Houston, Texas. In December of 2009, Delta Connection Academy merged with Aerosim Technologies, an aviation simulator and courseware design firm. Founded in 1993, Aerosim Technologies provided the link between Computer Based Training and Full Flight Simulators by designing a new, PC-based simulator trainer, equipped with full free-play functions and realistic cockpit environments. This exciting partnership led to the flight school being renamed Aerosim Flight Academy. Aerosim Flight Academy offers flight training courses approved by the FAA under 14 CFR Part 141, and specialized flight training under 14 CFR Part 61. We provide a professional flight training environment based on sophisticated airline standards. We are dedicated to quality, safety, reliability and performance. A Flight School with One Mission Our mission is to deliver high quality flight training that will produce professional and employable airline pilots. Our instruction is rooted in the same practices students will encounter at the airlines, meaning our students are being prepared for an airline position from Day 1.
