BEST WEEK EVER IN THE FAHS HOUSEHOLD! Ok, maybe not yet but its been darn good! First, Scott is home and he is not using any oxygen! Medically, we cant explain it entirely but it can be explained by this - prayer does work and thank you to everyone for that. We do have 2 follow up appointments next week (Monday with lung Dr. in VA & Friday with the transplant team) but driving back down for an appointment is much better than sitting in a room waiting for the docs to come see you. Second, he doesnt have any more fluid on him! No fat either - today his weight is up to 102 lbs. (and yes, you read that correctly - I said UP to ...) and he doesnt have any of the pain that the fluid caused him. All the previous pounds was fluid. He is feeling much better and while he is weak, he feels like doing more and doesnt tire out so quickly. He also has an appetite and is hungry so the weight should come back. Third, his right side heart cath and biopsy came back great! Rejection level is 1(almost perfect) and the rest of his numbers for his heart look just as good. Fourth, his kidney numbers look better than they have in years. And fifth, the icing on our cake - the best news to end this week - a very proud moment as parents - Seth was accepted to Temple University into the Spanish Language Program for the Fall 2014 year! Seth knew where he wanted to go, set his sights on it and wont accept anything less (much to my chagrin and with no real back up plan if he didnt get in) #proudparents #kidsgoingtoTemple #kidsayshashtagsareforyoungsters
