CBCs Go Public program is breaking a major story today about foreign workers being subjected to very questionable practices by McDonalds restaurants in Edmonton. The workers were recruited from Belize and are speaking out about what they are calling a scam in the recruiting process and how they are being forced to live in an expensive apartment and having more money than the apartment is worth taken from their pay cheques. The federal government apparently is going to investigate the situation.
