Can you believe we actually did it! We wanted to thank you personally for your support as we did this weekend together with you. Team Smartline raised an amazing $78,000 in total, which will help The Harry Perkins institute employ the best young researchers to join their team, and provide equipment and grants to encourage them to ask the big questions. Your stories and donations that you have shared with us throughout this process, inspired us with every step. Today our legs are very sore, but it was absolutely worth it because we were doing this for you and our greater community. Thanks to your donations, the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research will establish Western Australia’s first Centre for Women’s Cancer Research and appoint an outstanding scientist to lead the work. The Centre will focus on defeating two of the most challenging diseases facing women, breast and ovarian cancer. On behalf of Team Smartline, I sincerely thank you again, for your very important contribution. You have aided to an invaluable impact on thousands of women in our community and have touched our heart.
