Click to enlarge and read details on the frame. This is Ecclesgreig Castle. East Coast Scotland. St Cyrus. It is internationally famous as an inspiration for Bram Stokers Dracula. The snowdrop walk starts at the castle, meanders around the estate, along woodland paths and the pond, ending at the garden. The woodlands contain some very interesting trees and shrubs. Herbaceous borders 10 feet wide 140 feet long in Italian balustraded gardens. The garden has classical statues and stunning shaped topiary with views across St Cyrus to the sea. (That was not my own write up.) The place is astounding how ever :-) Photos taken in August this year 2014.
