Did you These Facts about Maths? All enthusiasts listening? 1 - You know how 32 + 42 = 52? Fermat claimed that there are no numbers that fit the pattern (an + bn = cn) when they are raised to a power higher than 2. 2 - The Riemann hypothesis is now regarded as the most significant unsolved problem in mathematics. It claims there is a hidden pattern to the distribution of prime numbers—numbers that can’t be factored, such as 5, 7, 41, and, oh, 1,000,033. 3 - Think of the biggest finite (non-infinite) number you can think of. Got one? Well how about 10100, commonly referred to as a googol, a number consisting of 1 followed by 100 zeroes. Now how about 10googol; a “Googolplex” is a number consisting of 1 followed by a googol zeroes. This number is so large that if you tried to write it out (assuming you never grew old or tired, and your pen would never run out) there is not enough physical space in the known Universe to even come close to finishing. This remains true even if you could write so small that a zero took up as much space as a single proton.
