Do you ever find yourself picturing a character in a Stephen King book a certain way before a lot of physical description has been given of them and then--even after the physical characteristics of the character have been more fleshed out--you STILL find yourself sticking with your initial impression? By way of example, a few months ago when I was reading Mr. Mercedes, I pictured Detective Hodges as a black man even when further description in the book showed he was a white guy. Anyone else run into this occasionally?
