Dont Give Up Your Hope ~ The story of Abram just pulls me back time and time again. In Genesis 12, God promised Abram that he would be a great nation, meaning Abe would be a father. He was 75 years old at that time and childless. It was a full 25 years later that Abraham, then 100 years old, and Sarah, then 90, had that promised child. Do you feel like giving up on your hope today? Romans 4:18 Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” Abrams body was as good as dead as was his wife Sarais, a truly hopeless situation to the human comprehension, but faith sees situations differently. Romans 4:19 And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarahs womb. Like Abe, we must learn to see things Gods way by taking our eyes off the seemingly hopeless situation and fixing them fully, by faith, on the God in whom we hope. There is NOTHING too hard for our God! This is the God in whom we hope, Romans 4:17b Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing. He does bring the dead back to life, and He does create new things out of nothing! Thats a fact, but do you believe it? Abraham clung to that hope and held to his faith for 25 years before realizing the promise. Will you cling to your Hope? Romans 4:20-21 Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. Are you fully convinced that God is Who He says He is and that He can do what He says He can do? Dont give up hope!
