Faith and Power Faith in Jesus and the true power of the Holy - TopicsExpress

Faith and Power Faith in Jesus and the true power of the Holy Spirit are inseparable – they are one. All of God’s infinite power and authority is in His Son and by faith we have open access to Him – He is the power. You don’t possess power, you are baptized or immersed into Him who is the power. Genuine faith is a revelation of Jesus, and thus how could there be a powerless revelation of Jesus? That would not be Jesus. How could it be in theory and not in power? To see and know Him by faith is to be caught up in Him. When we are caught up in the revelation of Jesus and of the Father and of His infinite glory and wonder of His love demonstrated thru the Cross then how could we not be caught up in His power? We cannot separate Him from His power. You can’t have Jesus and not have His power and glory. You can’t have an emasculated Jesus. When we have Him we have all that is His, as joint heirs (Rom. 8:17). So, people are wrong to go seeking after power. It’s Jesus they need to seek, and we know if it is the real Jesus by the fruit of righteousness and holiness and the death of self. The counterfeit “Jesus” allows you to keep your love of self, pride and ambition, and he will even encourage you to seek your own glory in the religious world, but the real Jesus always conforms us to His death and resurrection. The real Jesus has zero tolerance for corruption and has no part in anything fake or of the flesh. The real Jesus has no part in a lie, and He hates those who twist the Scriptures in order to get money or control people. ~ Ian Vincent, Shillong, June 16, 2013 ianvincent.wordpress/
