Feet. For the large majority of us, they are the building block of our posture and movement. You run on them, squat on them, stand on them, streak across the quad on them… you get what we are driving at here. What we need to focus on is this… building blocks as a child. When we made towers that stacked as high as possible, we had to make sure that the first XX number of blocks were solid, flat, and stable. Otherwise by the time we got higher up we had the Leaning Tower of Piza instead of the Sears Tower. But how many of us think the same way with respect to our own bodily towers of posture and position? How many of us actually mash the bottoms of our feet and develop the muscles and base of the foot… or do we just find ourselves stretching out the achilles like its the new hotness? We think you see the issue. You may have delicious ankle ROM, but its crap if you haven’t decided to build up the base underneath… the foundation. Therefore, let’s stop ignoring the feet and start rebuilding them. We are keeping the words short today so that you will spend the normal “reading time” for watching the below videos of Bmack and Kstar’s series: “Rebuilding the Feet”. Don’t take the easy road and ignore this warning… because you won’t like where the empty desert of suffering that it dead ends at.
