For the past few days I have been looking for a flat, naturally the starting point was Housing and then CommonFloor. Glossy pictures, details and attractive rates had us (me and a friend) hooked. That is until we started calling the numbers. It turns out that most of the listings were posted by property dealers (even after applying the posted by owner filter). Further, the prices they displayed were false and the property had already been taken. Looks like Property dealers have quite easily hacked their way to even more business. For us, neither website solves the pain point of not dealing with a broker and/or finding a property of choice online without physical visits (both of us work for the same startup, it is impossible for us to spend more than a few hours searching for houses). Is there a better technology driven solution out there? [We are looking in Delhi]
