Free MLM Marketing Strategies Part 1: Online Marketing There’s nothing worse than getting to the end of the month and discovering that you’ve spent more money on your MLM than you’ve actually made. That’s why it’s extremely important that you learn some free MLM marketing strategies before you spend yourself out of business. MLM is an ever-changing industry and thanks to the internet, there is more free MLM marketing strategies than ever before. In Part 1 of this article, I want to share with you some of the best free MLM marketing strategies that you can use to build your business online, then in Part 2, I will move on to free off-line strategies. Ok, let’s get started with Part 1… Free MLM Marketing Strategies For Online Marketing One of the most popular free MLM marketing strategies has to be BLOGGING. Owning your own blog allows you to do, say and write whatever you want, without anybody restricting your content. A blog is basically the ‘HUB’ or ‘nerve centre’ of your business and is a place where you can promote your business, affiliate products, videos, articles and anything else that you do online. The best thing about blogs is that people trust them much more than they trust advertisements because they have more of a ‘word of mouth’ kind of appeal. Blogs also give you a chance to promote YOU. This is a business where people join people, not companies or products, so it’s extremely important that you brand yourself as a person of knowledge and value. A blog will allow you to do just that. The best platform for blogging is WordPress and once you purchase your domain name (about $12 a year) and hosting (about $5 a month), blogging is practically free. The next best free MLM marketing strategies are VIDEO and ARTICLE marketing. For video marketing, you need little more than a topic and a video camera (you can also use a webcam, digital camera that has a record function or even a camera phone if that’s all you have). All you have to do is make a short recording of yourself speaking on a certain topic (Example: your business, marketing strategies, tips, tutorials or trainings, products you promote, etc) and at the end, direct people back to the applicable website (either your blog, company site, capture page or what have you). Now all there’s left to do is upload your video to Youtube and various other videos sites around the internet. Article marketing is basically the same concept, except you’re creating articles instead of videos and submitting them to article directories instead of video sites (for examples on the kind of articles to write, make sure you check out some of my other articles). Now I want to talk about one of the hottest things in free MLM marketing, SOCIAL NETWORKING. Sites like Facebook, Myspace and Twitter have completely changed the world and the way we communicate with each other. They have also changed the way we can build an MLM business online. If you acknowledge the fact that there are over 600 MILLION active users on Facebook alone, you will realise that marketing your business on social networking sites is definitely beneficial to your business. With this amount of traffic, it is very easy to source people as potential prospects for your business. What you have to remember though, is that network marketing is all about building relationships and helping people. This means that “spamming” your opportunity on yours and other peoples walls is a big ‘no-no’. Instead, try easing it in to the conversation naturally. Here’s a good strategy that you can use on Facebook immediately. Try finding a few people who you know but haven’t spoken to in a little while. ‘Add’ them as a friend and start a conversation with them. Try saying something like, “Hey {first name}. Long time no see, how have you been? This will lead to them telling you how they are and usually asking you how you are going, to which you can reply, “Not much, just making money and travelling the world” (or something along those lines but only if it’s true), then change the subject immediately. This kind of remark will drive them crazy with curiosity and because you just moved on and didn’t really say anything else, they will find it hard to not ask what you’re doing.
