HOW DID THE ARCTIC FARE THIS YEAR? According to a new report released today by NOAA and our partners, Arctic air is warming at twice the rate of global air temperatures and is continuing to trigger changes in the fragile region. Among its findings, the report card reports that snow cover across the Arctic in spring of 2014 was below long-term mean of 1981-2010.
