Hamdan : Dubai is hub for regional and international technology companies ( Economy 📅 19-11-2014 ) Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum asserted that Dubai became a hub for technology, preferred destination for international technology companies and magnet for the industry’s specialized talents. His highness commended the significant role of international technology companies’ regional offices in transferring knowledge and experiences to emerging markets, including the Middle East. Sheikh Hamdan’s remarks came after his meeting with LinkedIn’s Senior Vice President for Global Solutions Mike Gamson in presence of HE Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Abdulla Al Basti. From his side, Gamson highlighted Dubai’s position as major technology hub, adding that Dubai became the most favorite choice for international companies due to its ideal business model. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed discussed with Mr. Mike Gamson latest LinkedIn’s initiatives, projects and the company’s plans to expand in the region. Moreover, they discussed methods to enhance cooperation between LinkedIn and various specialized departments in Dubai Government. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also met the employees of the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He was briefed on the Office’s current projects, and he called them to provide more efforts and sustain team spirit.
