Having spent time working with and running aid programs for the homeless, Ive had the opportunity to see that many of the people we pass on the streets have led amazing lives until something happened that they werent able to overcome. The perceptions that most people hold about the homeless arent real and are only able to continue because we separate ourselves from them and dont take the time to hear their stories/connect to them as people. This video is a beautiful illustration of some of the stories you dont normally get to see unless you take the time to sit down and have a conversation. Next time youre passing by a homeless person, dont just hand them a dollar bill, ask if theyd like to join you for lunch!
