Heaven on earth will one day be a literal reality The place we’re going to dwell with God and Jesus forever hereafter is not some fanciful dreamland way off in outer space, but an even more amazing dream city that is going to come down from God, out of space, to earth. God is going to come down and live with us and we with Him. Think of that! The dwelling place of God is going to be with men (Revelation 21:2-3). But first God is going to purge, purify, and renew the whole earth so that it will be perfect and beautiful, like the Garden of Eden. Then the heavenly city is going to come down. Jesus will be restored forever as the King of kings and His kingdom will finally be established “on earth as it is in Heaven” (Matthew 6:10). It will be indescribably beautiful—the most gorgeous sight you’ll ever see, full of precious stones and jewels and, best of all, full of precious souls! Are you going to be able to walk in that city? The Bible says that only the saved shall walk therein (Revelation 21:24). You don’t want to miss that, do you?—Then receive Jesus as your Savior, if you haven’t already! Revelation 21:2-3 ESV - And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. Matthew 6:10 ESV - Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Revelation 21:24 ESV - By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. Jesus, thank you for preparing a beautiful and wonderful place for us in heaven that we can look forward to.
